Feeling brave? Well jump aboard the Ratty steam train – a spectacularly spooky ghost train!
Travel down the line in darkness and keep those eyes peeled for some fiendish friends who may try to say ‘Hallo’! Try not to get spooked! Travel around in the day, but make sure you reserve your seat on the Ghost Train. £15.00 per person includes spooky sweetie bag, all day travel and seat on the Ghost Train home.

Holker Hall & Gardens
Just a few miles from our Lake District Holiday home is Holker Hall. Over Haloween you can take part in a number of activities
Wicked Walks: Children can follow the Holker guide on a Halloween walk full of mystery and spooky shadows. Wander through the trees and glades, through the Pagan Grove and Labyrinth to the witches’ cottage deep in the magical garden. Why not get into the spooky spirit and come in fancy dress. Guided walks take place on Saturday (27th) , Sunday (28th) and Tuesday (30th) at 11.00am and 2.00pm and tickets are priced at £3.50 per person. Places are limited so pre-booking is recommended. Children must be accompanied and the walks are suitable for 3 years upwards. Self Guided -Halloween Garden trail also available on various days.
Loathsome Lanterns– : Bring along your own carved lantern, be it pumpkin, turnip, squash or marrow and take part in the pumpkin parade! The best one will win a prize. Judging will take place at 12.15am and 3.15pm daily.
Creepy Crafts: Hands-on Halloween craft activities will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the education room. Drop-in sessions in both the morning and afternoon will run from 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.00pm-3.00pm priced £3.50 per child. No need to book.
